Small domestic boilers for oil firing with high efficiency. Phase 2

It is the aim of this project to continue the development of high efficiency oil boilers for domestic housing situated outside the collective energy supply (i.e. district heating and natural gas).

Project description

The development of high efficiency boilers has been started in the pilot project (journal 1323/94-0012). There are developed 3 high efficiency boilers with varying burners. One of these will be a condensing boiler. For all boilers the emissions will be lower than the limits set in the ''Hamburg/Zürich regulations''. Furthermore, the connection to other energy sources, e.g. solar heating, will be investigated. It is the aim of the project that the condensing boiler will result in an energy saving of 25% in comparison to existing boilers, 10-15% in comparison to the best boilers on the market today and 5% in comparison to non-condensing boilers
