EUDP 13-l, optimized ground water heat pump system
The electricity tax has been reduced with for electricity used heat pumps. These initiatives are expected to increase the market for large heat. Ground water and how to integrate in the heat production plant need to be further developed standardized. PlanEnergi wants to do a demonstration project together with Præstø Fjernvarme and GEO.
Background: To make it feasible to use heat pumps for replacement of fossil fuels and for electricity-grid regulation.
The electricity tax has been reduced for electricity used to heat pumps is expected to increase the market for large heat pumps used to district heating production. The market prices for electricity are during the year at different levels and in between at a rather low level which is the reason why heat during those periods is produced at natural gas fired boilers. This natural gas energy production will be possible to substitute by using heat produced by heat pump system.
Main objective: To enhance the knowledge-platform for demonstration of the found water heat pump system.
Status and using of result: Heat pump technology applications using ground water as energy source for large scale district heating systems is going to be very significant regarding national/international energy-economical sustainable energy supply solutions. The ground water heat pump system and the integration in the heat production plant need to be further developed and standardized. “PlanEnergi” supported by “GEO” will do that in this specific demonstration project together with “Præstø Fjernvarme”. Subsequently the results obtained will be able to use similar projects in Denmark
