Optimum interplay between solar PV, solar thermal, heat pumps and energy storage

The project aims to develop and demonstrate a control strategy and a web-based control for optimal interaction between the solar collectors, solar cells, energy storage, heat pump and the building's installations, with a view to good end user economy, high self-sufficiency and interaction with the smart grid.
 

Project description
The project will contain
- analysis, which determines the principles for the optimal combination of solar cells, solar panels , heat pumps and energy storage, both to provide users the best economy and selfsufficiency , and also in relation to the benefits utility companies can have by remotely control the system so that power consumption can be most appropriate in relation to the overall system.
- preparation of a design tool for sizing the plant's main components and to calculate the total performance of the plant.
- preparation of a manual for professionals for the calculation of the combination in Be10.
- Development and testing of the strategy and algorithms that will be able to control the system optimally in relation to the objectives.
- Specifications of the new controller
- Software development that ensures interaction with the large amount of PV inverters that are offered on the market
- Evaluation of the feasibility of developing a controller that with a few components will be able to upgrade the thousands of heat pumps that are already installed in the market.
- Monitoring and documentation of plant performance.
- Development of marketing and launching marketing
