Intelligent heating for precast production

The project aims at developing and test a state-of-the-art system to control heating that is applied to precast elements. The expected result is to save anything between 20-30% of the current energy used for heating. 
Together with Ewii, MM Technology and Sensohive and Contiga Tinglev (test partner) the consortium wants to build a system in the next 18 months that will 1) stop applying heating when the curing process is done and 2) try to find the optimum point in time for when heat should be applied to the casting beds. 
At onset of the project the required parts are already tested on their own but focus is to get each part – PLC, sensor and heat system to communicate with each-other. It is expected that the project also will require some (work) practices to be changed in order to obtain optimum result. 
The first topic of the project will be to make a baseline of current energy consumption in order to calculate the improvement when the system is embedded – enabling us to provide pre and post measurements.
The results will be published together with project partners and the solution will be sold as part of Sensohive current services to precast factories in Europe.
