IEA 4E EMSA – Danish participation in the new EMSA
The purpose of this project is to ensure reliable international testing methods on electrical motor systems and frequency converters for the benefit of manufacturers, laboratories & MSA authorities, thereby in the end having electrical motor systems with very high efficiency.
This project ensures the participation of Denmark in the International cooperation for electric motor system under the International Energy Agency, IEA: 4E EMSA (Electric Motor Systems Annex) in which Denmark has been a key partner since the beginning in 2009.
4E EMSA starts a new term from March 1st, 2019 for a 5-year period to be in line with overall technology collaboration program of IEA: 4E. In this period, Denmark have been assigned a key role as project leader of three of the defined EMSA tasks.
The Danish contribution to EMSA in the new term consists of three main tasks: Project leader on task “International Standards”, Project leader on task “Testing” and finally Project leader on task “MST-Tool”
Besides the project leader roles above the project also involves normal EMSA activities as normal ½ year meeting activity and participation, writing papers and presenting at the International recognized conferences EEMODS & Motor Summit.
To be able to participate in IEC standardization in general, individuals must be member of their national committee respectively, in this case S-522 under Danish Standards. Danish Technological Institute is therefore member in this committee during the project period.Key figures
