De-carbonisation of Oil & Gas Production – by cost effective Floating renewable Technologies

The project aim is to develop solutions for combining renewable energy with the extraction of hydrocarbons is environmentally that are cost effective and support the reduction of carbon emissions

Project description
Combining renewable energy with the extraction of hydrocarbons is environmentally- and cost effective and support the reduction of carbon emissions. This is an emerging market with significant growth potential, but technology adaptation and development are needed to penetrate and accelerate this market entry.
This project will use FPP’s hybrid renewable energy technology as a basis. The technology will be combined with the knowhow from the project participants and end-client from the oil and gas industry. The aim is to develop solutions for 3 oil and gas market segments:
1) Production Support Power
2) Enhanced Oil Recovery
3) Service/Decom
The project partners will develop designs and business cases for each application. The complete designs and business cases will be used to secure market entry. The end-client will select one of these designs, based on their requirements, which will be taken to full Front End Engineering Design, including a basin test to validate the design.
