IEA Task 50 on Hybrid Power Plants – Danish Consortium
The purpose of the present project is to support and boost the collaboration and knowledge sharing between the Danish and international wind energy research communities within the emerging field of Hybrid Wind Power Plants through participation in IEA Wind Task 50 on Hybrid Power Plants.
Denmark has long been a leading country in wind power technology. However, with increasing trend and demand of hybridizing the wind power plant with either solar power or storage technologies, it is important that Denmark maintains the lead in Hybrid Wind Power Plants. This project enables a strong Danish participation in the IEA Wind Task 50 on Hybrid Wind Power Plants. Many Danish research organisations in the field and commercial providers of hybrid wind power plants are members of the task and will have influence on the decisions taken, especially the pre-standardisation which some of the IEA Wind Task work packages will drive forward. The participants will also support the work of the IEA Task, contributing to various publications, data sets collections and reports. The knowledge transfer facilitated by the IEA Task will contribute to improved business case, design, and operation of hybrid wind power plants for Danish businesses.
