Low cost PV roof as complete climate shield
The proposed EUDP project is realized in cooperation with the housing association, 3B, which will be involved in a large roof renovation project in the Måløv Park housing estate.
The project is funded as part of a special R,D & D program for building integrated PV solutions (BIPV). The project is based on a sketch design project made by the Solarplan company, which give a suggestion to develop a 100% rain tight roof, based on standard PV panels, where such roofs can replace ‘eternite’ roofs for south, east and west oriented roofs or a selected part of these, which will match the existing electricity use in Måløv Park in a cost effective way for the tenants. The solution will be developed in cooperation with the Danish PV producing company Danish Solar Energy Int. The developed BIPV solution will be tested at a mockup before it is utilized in full scale at 2 test housing blocks in Måløv Park. Good results will be transferred to the whole of 3B housing projects as well as to other housing organizations.
