Development and demonstration of IR gas sensor
The objective is to develop a gas sensor which can help the introduction of green gases to the existing natural gas grid.
Project description
The objective is to develop, test and demonstrate an infra-red (IR) based gas quality sensor capable of analyzing the gas composition in the gas grid, thereby allowing easy integration of green gases in the existing natural gas grid. The work program consists of the following parts: Market analysis and demands for a sensor, development of flrst generation proof-of-concept model, analysis and optimization, signal processing and electronics, building the first short series of instruments, fleld tests in Denmark. The target for the technology is three major market segments: Online gas analysis in the gas grid, boiler optimization, and finally gas installers. The project will focus on the gas grid segment. After a successful project, Elster Instromet A/ S is expected to market the product.
